The Same-Game Parlay Trap
The same-game parlay is the highest-margin product on a sportsbook board because the build UI sells the illusion of agency over a grid the bookmaker has already priced. A typical three-leg same-game parlay carries roughly twenty-two percent hold, about four and a half times the pregame standard, with the correlation premium invisible to retail. Trade pregame markets where the line and the model can match the math instead of building a bet the book has already engineered to win.

The Worked Example
Three-leg same-game parlay. Leg one: Dodgers ML at -160 (61.5% implied). Leg two: Ohtani total bases over 1.5 at -110 (52.4% implied). Leg three: Game total over 8.5 at -110 (52.4% implied). The fair independent product is 16.9% (+498). The true correlated probability is ~15.5% (+545). The bookmaker offers the build at +650 (13.3% implied). The 2.2 percentage points of probability mass extracted between the true correlated price and the offered price equates to ~22% hold on the build, roughly 4.5x the pregame standard hold of 4.7%.
The Structural Asymmetry
A typical MLB game has ~30 priced markets. That is 4,060 distinct 3-leg combinations per game. Layer in 2-leg, 4-leg, and 5-leg builds and the count exceeds 140,000 combinations per game. Across a full daily slate the total exceeds 10 million pre-priced builds. Every one carries a structural margin. The build UI sells the illusion of agency; the math is fixed by the correlation engine before the bettor touches a leg.
The WagerBird Answer
WagerBird does not publish same-game parlay picks. The model runs against single independent pregame markets where the line has settled, the data has settled, and there is no correlation layer in the way of the math. Build menus are filtered out by design.
