Minnesota reaches Detroit at 6-0, with a 3-0 home record and a 3-0 road record. Its latest win was 16-10 over Indianapolis. Brian Flores’ defense leads the league in points allowed. Blake Cashman supplied tackles, sacks and pass breakups against the Colts. Harrison Smith ended their final possession with an interception.
Kevin O’Connell’s offense has been less consistent. Kyler Murray threw for 150 yards against Indianapolis, while his scrambling helped create the touchdown to T.J. Hockenson. The passing game is adjusting to Murray, and Minnesota has used an even run-pass split. Will Reichard’s kicking has been important in low-scoring wins, including the 15-10 result against Miami.
The backfield has changed again with Jordan Mason back from injured reserve. Aaron Jones finished the practice week without a game designation after aggravating his knee against Indianapolis. DeeJay Dallas was elevated for Detroit. Tight-end depth has also changed: Josh Oliver is expected to miss the rest of the regular season, and Bryson Nesbit and Devin Culp joined the practice squad.
The latest defensive availability question is Jay Ward’s knee. Detroit is a divisional road assignment against a 4-2 team. Minnesota’s projected lineup includes its established receivers and starting tackles. Joe Huber remains listed at left guard ahead of injured reserve player Donovan Jackson.
