South Carolina is 4-3 and ranked No. 23 going into Homecoming. Its record is 2-2 at home and 2-1 on the road. October brought a 38-19 win at Florida, a 27-24 win over Tennessee and a 42-25 win at Oklahoma. Those results followed losses to Mississippi State, Alabama and Kentucky.
LaNorris Sellers remains central to the offense under coordinator Kendal Briles. His Oklahoma output included 301 passing yards, three touchdown throws, 96 rushing yards and two rushing scores. DJ Black and Mazeo Bennett Jr. caught long touchdown passes. Through three quarters, Clayton White's defense had allowed 10 points and 118 yards.
The backfield has changed after Matt Fuller's lower-leg injury and surgery. He is not expected back during the regular season; postseason participation remains possible. Jabree Coleman is expected to handle most of the work. Christian Clark, Isaiah Augustave and Jawarn Howell are other options.
South Carolina hosts 4-4 Texas A&M at 2:00 PM CT. Quay'sheed Scott and Donovan Murph have been cleared, while Jordan Thomas and J'Zavien Currence are out. Texas A&M still lists running back KJ Edwards as questionable; Noah Mikhail is no longer on its list. South Carolina is 4-3, with a 2-2 home record and a 2-1 road record, and is ranked No. 23. The Gamecocks have won three straight, most recently 42-25 at Oklahoma. Sellers supplied passing and rushing touchdowns in that win, while the defense contained Oklahoma through much of the game.
At Oklahoma, Sellers delivered three touchdown throws and two rushing scores, alongside 301 passing yards and 96 rushing yards. DJ Black caught an 84-yard touchdown pass, while Mazeo Bennett Jr. added a 79-yard scoring reception.
Fuller's surgery has taken him out of the regular-season backfield, although postseason participation remains possible. Coleman is expected to handle most of the work, with Christian Clark, Isaiah Augustave and Jawarn Howell also in the rotation.
Through three quarters at Oklahoma, South Carolina had allowed 118 yards while holding the Sooners to 10 points. Scott has been cleared to return, but Thomas and Currence remain unavailable.
Jacarrius Peak, a former NC State starter, is projected at left tackle. Fellow transfers Carter Miller and Emmanuel Kojo Poku are listed at center and right guard, with Darius Gray at right tackle.
