Florida returns home at 4-3 and ranked No. 25. Its home record is 2-1, compared with 2-2 on the road. The 27-24 win at Texas was followed by an 8-27 loss to Georgia. Florida also scored 52 against Ole Miss but managed 17 at Missouri and 19 against South Carolina.
Jon Sumrall has turned to Tramell Jones Jr. at quarterback after Aaron Philo was replaced against Georgia. Jones threw two touchdown passes without a turnover against Texas, both to Lacota Dippre. Jones is playing through an unspecified injury that an earlier update said may require surgery after the season. Both quarterbacks have continued practicing.
The personnel changes extend beyond quarterback. Vernell Brown III remains out with a knee injury, while Bailey Stockton is probable with a foot issue.
