Wake Forest comes into its home game ranked No. 14 with a 7-1 record. It is 3-1 at home and 4-0 on the road. The latest result was a 51-7 win over Virginia. Earlier road wins at California and North Carolina State finished 41-7 and 38-14. Miami remains the only team to beat Wake this season.
The offense produced 538 yards against Virginia. Carlos Hernandez caught eight passes for 136 yards and a touchdown, while Ty Clark III ran for three scores. Center Will Way received a conference weekly award on November 2. That followed a game in which Wake scored on its first nine possessions.
Availability remains unresolved. Gio Lopez is day-to-day after a lower-body injury, and Steele Pizzella replaced him against Virginia. Aiden Hall and Tolu Olajide also have no firm return date.
