The Sacramento Kings will be without guard Malik Monk for the remaining three games of the regular season and into the postseason because of a left calf strain, ESPN reported on Wednesday evening.

Monk, 27, will be re-evaluated in two weeks, per the report, which covers the Kings' entry into the play-in tournament. Sacramento (39-40) is ninth in the Western Conference standings.

He was injured in the first quarter of Sacramento's 127-117 road win over the Detroit Pistons on Monday. He had two points and one assist in six minutes.

Monk already was ruled out of Wednesday's game against the visiting Denver Nuggets because of left calf soreness in the NBA injury report. The Kings conclude the regular season with home games Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers and Sunday against the Phoenix Suns.

He is averaging 17.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 31.6 minutes in 65 games (45 starts) this season. He is making 32.5 percent of his 3-point attempts and 86.5 percent of his foul shots.

For his career, Monk is averaging 12.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 22.8 minutes in 523 games (83 starts) with the Charlotte Hornets (2017-21), Los Angeles Lakers (2021-22) and Kings (2022-present).

Sacramento announced on Wednesday the signing of guard Terence Davis, who was with the Wisconsin Herd of the G League. He was averaging 14.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.0 steals and 26.4 minutes in 30 games.

Davis, 27, has averaged 8.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 16.1 minutes in 227 NBA games (24 starts) for the Toronto Raptors (2019-21) and Kings (2021-23).
